Yes, isulong seoph is the latest craze in Philippine SEO/SEM community. Just like other SEO/mini-SEO contest before it, it tests the skills of Filipino SEOs. Other than giving Filipinos something to gauge their skills with, the contest aims to push (isulong) Philippines as the SEO/SEM outsourcing hub in Asia.
The contest organizer, Marc, based the contest name isulong seoph from the word Isulong in filipino means to charge forward, SEO which stands for Search Engine Optimization, and PH is the Philippine’s international accepted two letter code.

It seems that the local contestants aren’t going to use the local domains. It is probably because the dotPH domain rates are still priced at US$35. dotPH has held on the this pricing scheme for quite a while despite the international domain name prices have gone down to as low as US$7-8.
